How to get the AWARD:

The award “BASILICA SAN MARCO” is issued to OM/SWL who have made QSO/HRD and received QSL card from Italian radio amateurs. The award is issued in 2 classes as specified hereinafter.

1. build the words “BASILICA SAN MARCO” by using the last letter of Italian callsigns.
2. 5 QSO/HRD with stations residing in the city of Venezia or Venezia province (zip code 30xxx) or on the islands of the Venetian lagoon.

Stations QRV from castles, forts, WFF areas or any other special activity from the Venice area are accepted. Foreign stations not accepted.

List of some of the major islands of the Venetian lagoon : Lido di Venezia, Pellestrina, Chioggia, Burano, La Certosa, Torcello, Mazzorbo, Giudecca, Vignole, Murano, Sant’Eramo, San Michele, Santa Cristina, Lazzaretto Nuovo, La Salina, San Francesco del Deserto, Poveglia, San Clemente, San Giorgio Maggiore, San Servolo.

Endorsements are available for band and mode.

QSO validity 1.1.1985.

QSL cards used for application must be in possession of the applicant but they are not to be sent with your application.
The award is free, and sent as a PDF file (JPG on request).

The Diploma will be required to Award manager:
